PROFESSIONAL ANIMAL TRANSPORT
GET TO KNOW US
Dorset Smallholding was set up in 2018 when we tried to find transport for a horse and then some goats. We soon realised there were not many transporters in our area. We started by getting all the relevant qualifications, licences and insurance in place and bought our first trailer. Over the next few years we have grown our business. We now have a livestock van and a variety of trailers to cater for many different movements.
Animal welfare and biosecurity are our top priorities which is why we completely clean and disinfect to APHA's standards between each job. For this reason we don't do shared loads unless organised by the two different owners.

We are happy to work alongside more exotic animals with guidence and transport equipment related to animals to some degree.

We are also happy to work alongside other transporters. Be that in convoy if moving smallholding or meeting up with a HGV and finishing the last leg to your farm that may not have good HGV access.
We may sometimes ask for W3W for collection and delivery, especially for fields / paddocks. If you are not familiar with W3W please what this video.
